Collection: Coastal Shelf

Along tropical coasts, shallow to moderately deep water can appear teal because red wavelengths are absorbed more strongly while blue and green light remain visible. Reef shelves in these zones can protect coastlines, preserve records of past sea levels, and support highly productive ecosystems rich in marine life.

Philosophical parallel: Humility is illumination without arrogance. It is a posture that sustains growth. It's not passivity, but extreme positioning in the best light.
